People love scamming, just make sure your boss knows that. I’ve made four allergen orders for one lady in front of other people, she’s allergic to onions apparently but loves mexican food. Onions Apparently there was white onion in a salsa cup. Only issue is I decanted the salsa between three containers in front of my bosses, and they banned her. Unbanned her shortly after, but you can make people see bs like this.
PointlessDelegation
I assume the plate was exactly the right temp. Four stars. Would be five, but…cold noodles 😐
nikki_jayyy
Once had a lady say this was “just bad pasta all around, the sauce is too thick and rich”
*proceeds to ask for a to-go box*

Maybe it was just some constructive feedback?? I know it’s a crazy thought but it does happen. I’ve had many meals where something isn’t right, but it isn’t necessarily bad.
cynical-rationale
Probably just feedback? I do it at places. Doesn’t mean they didn’t like the dish.
Rinaldootje
Sounds to me like slight point of constructive criticism. They hoped the noodles would be hotter. But outside of that, if they finish their meal, doesn’t sound like you or anyone did anything really wrong.
SelarDorr
they were hungry
they ate the food they paid for
and they let you know your noodles werent hot enough
they werent asking for a refund
problem??????????

The classic complaint: the food was terrible… and the portions were too small
Apollo185185
You can’t ask for feedback and then get angry at feedback that upsets you. I ordered an entree. it was much smaller than expected. Server: How was the food? Me: It was a little bland. Server: WELL YOU ATE IT ALL. yep. sure did eat this 3/4 cup of food, is this your grandmothers recipe or something? are you dating the chef? I’m not asking for anything, simply answering your question, Jesus.

Who the hell licks their plate clean *in public*.
Unless they were one of the 30 Clowns from yesterday, this should be verboten!
Big_Dirt_Nasty
Idk man.. that looks like spoon scoops to me.. she didnt ask for refund.. did you ask her how it was? I mean.. it just ain’t adding up yet lol. Especially if you say this is a regular.

Didn’t want to be rude

It’s weird. I often eat at places where shit is good, but not great. And I want them to succeed and I want to say something. But often I don’t because of how thin skinned the egos of the kitchen are.
It’s not necessarily personal.
And they could also be wrong.
Just take the feedback and roll on. If you keep getting the same feedback: there may be something off, if you don’t and it’s a one-off… C’est la vie.
Intelligent-Luck8747
Sounds like constructive feedback instead of a complaint.
They probably wished the dish was hotter in temp when they got it or maybe it cooled to fast while they were talking with their table
Strange_Compote_4592
Sometime, people complain just to complain
smurfe
Maybe they were trying to warm the plate with their tongue to make the noodles hotter.
loweyedfox
They were in capsaicin withdrawal. This was them fending for a hit
awesomeforge22
I worked at a seafood place with a huge raw bar. I was the only cook who would show up clean shaven and not hung over, so I always had to run the raw bar. 1 in every 10 orders of oysters would come back with just empty shells and the customer stating they were rotten. It would drive me nuts, it’s very unlikely for them to be rotten, but not impossible, and what, they couldn’t make up their mind until the 12th one?
DJMagicHandz
They ate the evidence your honor…
Bwipy
Don’t have the FOH ask for feedback if you’re gonna be upset that you get it. I’m the kind of person that if asked for feedback and I’ve had a 9/10 meal, I’d tell them how to make it a 10/10 in my eyes.
Gang_StarrWoT
I will finish my food every time (or take it home and then finish it) even if I didn’t like it, because I don’t like wasting food. If the sauce was good I’d lick the plate, has nothing to do with noodles being cold.
PresterLee
Customer was searching for more flavour or just getting their money’s worth.
ThrowRA020204
Well he paid for the food. The food being a little less warmer than preferred doesn’t make it less tasty. He ate what he paid for rather than wasting food.. it’s called constrictive criticsm, you’re welcome.
b0ffum
Then serve it hot????????????????

GethPie
Was he asking for money back or another plate? Because it sounds like he was just saying they weren’t hot enough, not that they tasted like sweaty dick
Unhappy_Energy_741
It doesn’t mean they didn’t taste good.
schatzillaz
They didn’t complain about the taste so all is good
Distinct-Ad8684
That’s a fuckin compliment if I’ve ever seen one!

I have friends who love things CRAZY spicy. They will always ask for the spiciest levels possible and for the chef to give it a little extra if possible. More often than not, things don’t meet the level of spiciness they like, and they’ll get asked at the end “how was it?” and they’ll be honesty and say “not spicy enough”. They’re not going to refuse to eat dinner because it could have been spicier…. They’re just giving feedback.
I don’t even know how this is a question from someone who works in a kitchen…
OhBoiNotAgainnn
Well apparently the sauce was hot enough if that monster was literally licking the plate.
So nice job on the sauce.
Make your noodles more hot though.
thePHTucker
Once had a regular that was “gluten free” and we had to remove the dumplings from her chicken and dumpling soup.
The dumplings were made with bread flour. She was aware of this. We still had to remove them from her bowl because she was related to the owner. SMH.

A few weeks ago, I ordered spaghettini from a place I frequent. I was hungry and when the food arrived, it was slightly warm but not piping hot like it usually is. I ate it and got every last noodle because I was hungry. But it was still on the cold side.
billnyescienceguy69
Awww wittle cheffie got a wittle upset that someone had feedback 🥺🥺
Hoju520
It’s called feedback..unless they asked for a comp.
omarhani
Well yeah, if it was too hot, they couldn’t have licked it.
Troe_Away_Count
Idk, there’s a pizza place I regularly go to and the guys there always ask me how the last pie was. And I’m honest with them if it was underbaked or over sauced or something. They like getting people’s pizzas the way they want them, and they don’t seem offended by the feedback.
machinerer
Hand ’em a bottle of hot sauce next time, throw ’em for a loop.
EyHeADM
I don’t get shit like this. You understand the customer could have been hungry enough to eat cold noodles correct?
downvotesyourcrap
Those aren’t lick marks. That’s the side of a fork. Clearly, you’ve never been a dishie, or seen someone clean their plate. Tells me about your cooking tbh.
Oily_Bee
Had cold soup sent back the other day.
It temped 185.
ortiz13192
I still see pesto, they didnt lick it clean, clearly you failed chef /s
Day_Bow_Bow
Just curious if your plates are kept hot. Cold plates suck heat out of food.
TTuTTT
Some people are just hungry but still will provide feedback on the food as to help improve your dish consistency. Would you prefer it if you didn’t know your food was going out below standards?
